The History of the San Fernando Valley Republican Club

In August, 2002, The Heritage Foundation, through its affiliate, Townhall.com decided to form a grass-roots, nationwide organization of conservatives around the country who would promulgate and support conservative values.

At our initial meeting in August, 2003,  inspired by the Heritage Foundation program for local conservative grass-roots organizations, ten of us met at Chili's Restaurant to form what was then called the San Fernando Valley Townhall Conservatives. We grew from the original ten members in 2003 to a membership today of over 400 members.

We were active in the recall election of then Governor, Gray Davis, and the election of Arnold Schwartzenegger, in 2003.
