Teresa Hernandez |
A THREE-POINT, COMMON-SENSE APPROACH
TO IMMIGRATION REFORM
Teresa Hernandez has a very
interesting three point plan for
immigration reform includes a
guest-worker program without a
pathway to citizenship. It was
recently approved by the Lincoln
Club of Orange County on
which Teresa is a member of the
board.
Mrs.Hernandez began her professional
career as a registered nurse and now
serves on the Governing Board of
Greater El Monte. As Vice President
of Hernandez Productions she is
involved in producing Mariachi
Festivals and shows across
the United States and the Mariachi
Heritage Society which she and her
husband formed provides in-school
and after school music classes for
local children who could other wise
not afford lessons or instruments.
With her husband, Jose, Teresa is
owner of Restaurant Cielito Lindo
in South El Monte.
Teresa is a board member of the
Hispanic 100, she is on the State
Board of California Women's
Leadership Association, serves as
the Chairwoman of the Latino
Outreach Committee and truly proving
her commitment to Republican values,
two years ago she ran for Congress
in the special election to replace
Hilda Solis. With four children, the
restaurant and all her other
activities she is truly an example
of if you want something done, give
it to a busy person.

Precinct Volunteer Coordinator |
|
Seeking Volunteer for this Position
We are often asked by local
candidates to provide volunteers to
assist their campaigns. In the past
we have had aPrecinct
Volunteer Coordinator who
was in charge of the activity. If
any of you would like to help out
our local San Fernando Valley
candidates by organizing volunteers
and assigning them to various local
campaigns we would appreciate it.
This is an important critical
position for election victories in
the SFV. It isn't complicated, and
we can train you in an hour or two.
Please send me an email at aminoff@sfvrc.orgif
you are willing to take on the
position of Precinct
Volunteer Coordinator for
SFVRC. Thank you.

our events, particularly from the
early years, please send them to us.
We will use these for our 10th

Please send them as soon as you can
so we can organize them. We would
like pictures going back to 2003.

Dine and Donate at Fatburger |

Panorama
Fatburger is offering an opportunity to
help SFVRC
As you know the Panorama City
Fatburger is owned by two
Republicans, Julie Nguyen and John
Quintanilla. They are offering an
opportunity for SFVRC members to eat
at Fatburger. It is only two blocks
from where we meet at Galpin Ford,
so it is easy to go there before or
after our meeting, but the offer
applies anytime.
Go eat at Panorama City Fatburger, 8261
Sepulveda Blvd (at the corner of
Roscoe) Panorama City, 91402. The
phone number there is (818)894-7888.
Keep your receipt and bring it to
me or to Karen Klaparda, our
secretary. We can then turn the
receipts in to Fatburger and they
will donate 15% of the receipts to
SFVRC. It is a great way to help
the club by having Fatburger donate
a percentage of your bill, but it
also helps a local business run by
Republicans.

Republican Business Directory |
|
Do Business with fellow Republicans
We now have our Republican Business
Directory up and functioning.
and click on the "Local Directory"
tab. On the left side of the page
you will find classifications of
businesses. Click on a
classification and it will give you
a list of Republicans in that
classification.
We are encouraging all of our
members to patronize the businesses
of our fellow members and
Republicans. If you need goods and
services, why not have them provided
by your fellow Republicans?
For those of you who would like to
have your business listed in our
business directory, please send an
email to:
BUSINESS@SFVRC.ORG.
Provide your name, the name and street
address of your business, your business
phone number, your business web site
address, and your email address. Also
provide a description of the services
you provide or the type of goods you
sell. |

regularly maintained and includes not
only events of SFVRC but many other
Republican events in the area.

included, please send the info to me by
email.

click on "Calendar" on the menu, or go
to:http://www.sfvrc.org/calendar.html

default, but you can click on "week" to
see the calendar by the week. If you
click on any event it will open up and
give you details. The calendar can also
be printed.
There are several events occurring
during the next few weeks. Be sure
and check the calendar to find out
when and where.
