Alan J. Jackson
Major Crimes Division

Alan is a veteran prosecutor, having been with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for 15 years. He is the Assistant Head Deputy of the Major Crimes Division, which handles the DA's most complex and high-profile criminal prosecutions. During his career, Alan has prosecuted more than 60 felony trials, more than half of which have been murders. For nearly five years, Alan was assigned to the Hardcore Gang Division where he faced and convicted some of the county's most hardened and violent gang members. Alan has also successfully led the prosecution in some of Los Angeles's most difficult and high-profile cases. In 2006, he prosecuted the killer of Mickey Thompson, the legendary racecar driver who was executed along with his wife, Trudy, in 1988. Most recently, Alan prosecuted and convicted famed music producer Phil Spector, who murdered a woman in the foyer of his Alhambra home. Today, Alan is a supervisor in the Major Crimes Division while he continues to carry his own caseload.

Away from the courtroom, Alan spends much of his time lecturing on issues related to complex trial tactics. Additionally, he is a member of the Los Angeles Leadership Council for INMED, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to providing medical and social services to underserved children in Los Angeles. He has published a chapter in a college textbook on the issue of Gang Prosecutions, and is also a featured analyst on NBC Dateline's Unsolved Case Squad, which first aired in April 2009. Alan was namedProsecutor of the Year 2008 by the Association of Deputy District Attorneys. In 2009, he was named one of the Top 100 Lawyers in California by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journals, and recently the Los Angeles County Bar Association named him Prosecutor of the Year 2010.

The Public is invited. The Woodland Hills~Tarzana Chamber will hold a Town Hall Meeting among the candidates for the new 30th Congressional District (CD) from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 5th in the former Dick's Sporting Goods store, basement level of the Promenade Mall, Warner Center. Republican Business Directory
Do Business with fellow Republicans

We are in the process of publishing our business directory, probably in January.

In these tough economic times we have decided to help each other out economically.

We are preparing a business roster of Republicans for SFVRC members.  This will be merged with a county-wide business directory that is being prepared by LA County Republican Clubs.

We are encouraging all of our members to patronize the businesses of our fellow members and Republicans.  If you need goods and services, why not have them provided by your fellow Republicans?

For those of you who would like to have your business listed in our business directory, please send an email to:
to: BUSINESS@SFVRC.ORG.

Provide your name, the name and street address of your business, your business phone number, your business web site address, and your email address.  Also provide a description of the services you provide or the type of goods you sell.

We would like to publish this directory soon, so please send in your information.  Send an email to business@sfvrc.orgwith the above information.
