The next meeting of the
San Fernando Valley
Republican Club will be
on
Tuesday, September
1, 2009
at
7:00pm
at
Galpin Ford, 2nd
Floor Meeting Room
15555 Roscoe Blvd
(just east of the
405)
North Hills.
There is a $5.00 event
fee, except for first
time visitors, students
and guest speakers who
may attend at no cost.
Our featured speaker
will be club-member
Dick
McDonald,
of the Ownership Society
Institute, who will
explain his plan for
wealth creation by all.
There is a lot of other
important and relevant
information contained in
this newsletter. Please
read the items below.

Featured Speaker -
Dick
McDonald |
|
"Morning
in America - Part II"
Ronald Reagan reversed
Jimmy Carter's "Era of
Limits" into the
greatest 25-year period
of wealth creation in
the history of the
planet. It ended with
the DOW topping 14,000
before it crashed in the
fall of 2008. Barack
Obama and the Democrat
Party are intent on
imposing another "Era of
Limits" by nationalizing
health care, financing,
energy and auto
industries in the
mistaken belief they
will grow the economy
and create wealth.
Dick
McDonald, a club
member and his infant
Think Tank, Ownership
Society Institute (OSI),
have devised a plan to
create another period of
wealth creation that
will top even Reagan's
quarter-century miracle.
As Reagan would say
right now, big
government socialism
isn't the answer, it is
the problem. The people
are in the streets
screaming at their
politicians to stop
socialism's intrusion
into their lives. OSI
has created a flag under
which all their "Tea
Party" complaints can
fly. Appropriately it is
called the "USA". Come
to the meeting to learn
all about the "USA" and
freeing America's
"exceptionalism" from
the handcuffs of
socialism.
Mr.
McDonald is a
former practicing CPA
who has spent his life
as a tax man helping the
rich get richer. He was
the High School club
mate of Jack Kemp whose
Kemp-Roth bill started
"Morning in America,
Part 1." When he says
rich he isn't kidding -
he did J. Paul Getty's
personal income, gift,
trust and estate tax
work for ten years at an
international accounting
firm when Getty was the
only billionaire around. |

Counter-Demonstrations
Planned by Republicans
at MoveOn Locations
Obama
and his supporters are
now getting concerned.
They have called in for
resources. MoveOn.org
is planning several
demonstrations next
Wednesday, September
2nd, all over the
country. There will be
two here in the Valley.
You can find the
location of the
MoveOn.org
demonstrations on their
web site
here.
They are having one
demonstration at Ventura
and Van Nuys Blvd. and
another at Burbank and
Van Nuys Blvd. Their
goal is 300 people at
the Ventura Blvd.
location and 400 people
at the Burbank Blvd.
location. As of tonight
(Thursday) 84 have
signed up for Ventura
and 54 for Burbank.
There is another
demonstration at Sen.
Feinstein's office.
Their target is 300
there with 87 already
signed up. These
demonstrations with that
many people are going to
give the opportunity to
the Obama-crazed
misty-eyed press to say
that instead of being a
paid well-organized
bussed-in demonstration
it is an out-pouring of
grass-roots citizens
demanding their
government health care.
All of these events are
scheduled for 7:00pm.
It will be difficult for
us to assemble an
equally large number of
opponents of
nationalized health
care, but I would like
to get as many people
out to do
counter-demonstrations
opposing Obamacare. If
the press don't see any
opponents it gives them
an opportunity to spin
the event, which they
will undoubtedly do no
matter what. We are
going to organize
counter-demonstrations
for the two valley
locations.
The Westside Republicans
are going to do a
counter-demonstration at
Dianne Feinsteins
office. You can see
more about their
demonstration by going
to their
web site.
For those of you who
work or live south of
Mulholland it will
probably be easier for
you to show up at their
event.
We don't want to have a
situation where there is
no opposition, even if
we are greatly
outnumbered. If you can
make it out to the
demonstration on
Wednesday to one of the
three locations at
7:00pm, please send me
an email and let me know
which demonstration you
can attend:
1) Ventura Blvd and Van
Nuys Blvd.
2) Burbank Blvd. and
Van Nuys Blvd.
3) Sen. Feinsteins
office at Sepulveda and
Santa Monica.
Let's come out and show
some numbers, folks.
Don't let them get away
with their staged
protests.

SFVRC Business Roster |
|
Do Business with
fellow Republicans
In these tough economic
times we have decided to
help each other out
economically.
We are preparing a
business roster of
Republicans for SFVRC
members. This will be
merged with a
county-wide business
directory that is being
prepared by LA County
Republican Clubs.
We are encouraging all
of our members to
patronize the businesses
of our fellow members
and Republicans. If you
need goods and services,
why not have them
provided by your fellow
Republicans?
For those of you who
would like to have your
business listed in our
business directory,
please send an email to:
BUSINESS@SFVRC.ORG
. Provide your name,
the name and street
address of your
business, your business
phone number, your
business web site
address, and your email
address. Also provide a
description of the
services you provide or
the type of goods you
sell.
We would like to publish
this directory by May,
so please send in your
information. Send an
email to
business@sfvrc.org
with the above
information.
